FAQs

Q. What is bouldering?

A. A form of low-level rock climbing, below 4-5 metres that’s all about climbing short, tricky routes to test your strength and technique. It can be done without using ropes or harnesses, but most climbers use climbing shoes to help secure footholds, chalk to keep their hands dry and safety mats to prevent injuries from falls.

Q. What safety equipment will I be given?

A. You’ll be fitted with a harness and helmet and clipped on to ropes held by instructors throughout

Q. Can I bring my own harness/ helmet?

A. Yes, subject to our instructors approval on the day, you’re welcome to bring your own

Q. Do I need to have my own climbing shoes + bouldering mat?

A. No - old trainers are fine. We’ll provide the mat and anything else you’ll need.
